Do I need AnkiMobile?
Yes. CardMakeTool creates cards and sends them to AnkiMobile, which is a separate app available on the App Store. Please install AnkiMobile to use the core feature.
How do I set up CardMakeTool the first time?
Open CardMakeTool, tap the Settings icon, then "Anki Setup". Tap "Import Note Type into AnkiMobile" and follow the prompts, then tap "Detect from AnkiMobile" and allow access. After that, the Share Extension is ready to use.
How do I create a card?
Select text in any app (such as Safari), tap Share, and choose CardMakeTool. Pick your target word and example sentence. Cards collect in a queue — open CardMakeTool and tap "Send All to AnkiMobile".
Which languages are supported?
Online dictionary lookup is available for English. For other languages, definitions are available through AI definitions (Pro) or your own imported offline MDX dictionaries.
What does Pro include?
AI definitions, pronunciation audio, and unlimited offline dictionaries. Pro is a subscription managed through your Apple account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and manage CardMakeTool there.
